The Reach, in partnership with Abbotsford Community Services, presents Block Party Vol. 3: Intersections on the Block. A block party is usually planned by the residents of a single block or neighborhood. The Reach has changed it up and we're inviting the whole city!

March 21 is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination, and what better way to eliminate hate than to throw a party? The focus for this event is holding space to acknowledge intersectionality* within our community.

*Intersectionality is a concept often used in critical theories to describe the ways in which oppressive institutions (racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, xenophobia, classism, etc) are interconnected and cannot be examined separately from one another.

We have a full-loaded night of highlight performances showcasing a variety of talents planned. Mark your calendars, because you don’t want to miss this event!
